Joshua D. Behl, Ph.D.

Dr. Joshua D. Behl is an Assistant Professor of Criminology at Flagler College. Josh received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law. Josh has participated extensively in research at the intersection of the law and psychology. Josh's dissertation aimed to develop a scale that can be used to identify juror attitudes in voir dire to predict damage awards. Throughout his entire graduate career, Josh worked as a research assistant to Dr. Lora Levett on a National Science Foundation funded grant that examines jury decision-making. Josh has presented this research at several national conferences – including the meetings of the American Psychological Association, the American Society of Criminology, and the American Psychology-Law Society. In edition to co-editing Deliberations, Josh is also a member of the ASTC Pro Bono Committee. Josh is married to his beautiful wife, Taylor.

Ben serves as Senior Research Analyst for Steven E. Perkel & Associates, LLC. In this position, Ben’s work focuses on practical communication skills, planning and execution of research exercises, qualitative data analysis and coding, and graphic presentation design. In addition to being a co-editor of Deliberations, Ben is also a member of the ASTC Pro Bono Committee.
